Why should you get to know ToffeeMuffin?

In a world of shallow and superficial people I'd like to think I'm honest, open and genuine and most of all, nobody's fool. Given the choice of a good documentary or reality TV I'd always go for the former. Also, activities such as walking or a visit to the theatre I find much more appealing than aimlessly swilling beer or wandering round a shopping centre.I'm quite an independent thinker and much prefer to follow my own view on things rather than go with the flow which amongst other things, means I'm quite thick skinned when it comes to having an opinion or deciding not to do/buy something just because it's in a magazine or happens to be popular with others...

I like to keep active and usually run at least 10 miles a week to keep in shape or train for a 10k. I love great food and wine too and like to cook just as much as eat out. Yes, I'm well educated and have quite a good job but that's not quite what I'm looking for. There's more to life than profits, credit, material possessions and consumerism, don't you agree?

I haven't quite reached the Reggie Perrin stage yet though!

Well I don't want to narrow the field too much but I think I may be safe in ruling out ultra liberal types who seem to live in a fantasy idealistic world I simply don't recognise. I'm looking for someone intelligent and articulate with whom I can engage in conversations, and also who doesn't mind if we have a difference of viewpoint sometimes. Practical and a liking for the outdoors definitely takes precedence over high heals and handbags. For me, life isn't about pretending I'm a celebrity so down to earth with an ability to tell the difference between what's real and just another marketing dream is quite important too. And then of course a good sense of humour wouldn't go amiss either!
